How eMIPR works for you:

The eMIPR web application runs in the .MIL domain in a secure 128-bit encrypted environment. It makes the process of MIPR creation, acceptance, tracking, and management efficient, fast, easy, and secure. Here’s how the process works;

Create a new MIPR in a few clicks

After clicking the "create new eMIPR" link, fill out the form for your particular purchase request.

Creating the eMIPR
Electronic MIPR documents (eMIPRs) are created using data obtained from an HTML form to populate an electronic copy of Form 448-1 (eMIPR). Using your CAC Card, you can digitally sign/authorize the eMIPR and then select users to send/route the eMIPR to. Then eMIPR distribution list gives you the ability to keep all interested parties informed and “in the loop”. Budget, contract. technical/functional, and management personnel can all be on your eMIPR distribution/routing and notification list so MIPR funding status is made available to everyone involved. Budget Analysts will find they now can enable technical/functional personnel to easily look-up and obtain MIPR information at anytime and self serve them selves with information.

eMIPRS are filled out, authorized then sent. eMIPR even lets you generate a pdf hardcopy for your files.

eMIPR Status
The eMIPR status (whether a MIPR has been approved, rejected, or is in a pending state) is viewable through the eMIPR application screen and is also automatically communicated to all on the distribution/routing list via email notification. All status information (new MIPR issued, MIPR modification, pending MIPR, accepted MIPR, etc.) are tracked and communicated to every user on the routing list.

Receiving Acceptance of the eMIPR
The receiving party(s) will be notified through email that a new eMIPR has arrived and awaiting their acceptance. The party designated as the accepting authority then simply opens the eMIPR and accepts the MIPR document. Your license of eMIPR allows even non-licensed eMIPR users with the ability to correspond with you regarding your MIPR (e.g. the receiving party is not required to have an eMIPR license for you to fully utilize eMIPR and automate your MIPR management). The eMIPR application then notifies the originating party, as well as all on the distribution list, that the MIPR document has been accepted. The application allows the eMIPRs and their responses to be viewed and responded to almost immediately after they are sent, removing the overhead of emailing, faxing, or worse, traditional mail services.

eMIPR Management

The eMIPR application allows you to store the MIPRs (Forms 448-1 and 448-2) in folders by subject, project, organization, or any other way you wish to organize and store them for quick retrieval and viewing. In addition you, and any user on the original eMIPR distribution/routing list, can use the MIPR number search feature to quickly and easily retrieve and view stored MIPR documents.
